The Bahamas Out Island Promotion Board is a consortium of over 50 boutique hotels and resorts spread out over hundreds of islands throughout the Bahamas. As part of a brand repositioning and strategic marketing plan, Gerardot & Co. engineered and orchestrated a complete overhaul of the organization’s website.

The overall goal for the website BahamasOutIsland.com was to increase tourism and hospitality in the Bahamas Out Islands. To accomplish this goal, we planned and designed a website to attract, inform and funnel prospective guests to the best vacation experience and accommodations to fit their needs. More specifically, our direct business goal was to provide qualified website traffic referrals and deliver qualified sales leads to member hotels and resorts. More succinctly, our edict was to “put heads in beds”.

Our team of web designers, web developers and online marketing professionals planned and designed a website and a search marketing campaign to not only accomplish these goals, but to shatter them. The best way to create qualified sales leads is to provide prospects with a lot of relevant, informative content. So, in addition to providing rich content about the islands, culture, attractions and activities in the Out Islands, we developed a custom content management system (CMS), allowing each member hotel to control their specific content (rates, property description, photos…etc.) on the website.

As part of this custom CMS, we also provided members with access important website analytic reports, and the ability to manage customer sales leads. This website not only met its intended goals, but far exceeded hotel member expectations. In less than one year, the website generated 12,000 direct sales leads and 120,000 referrals to over 40 hotel members.
