
Branding a Retail Phenomenon
Brand identity design for retail development positions it as the mall of the future.
The brand identity designed for this progressive retail development in Plainfield, Indiana is high tech and high touch. Billed as a city of the future within a small town, Metropolis was something to behold, or as we positioned the brand: a retail and entertainment phenomenon. Inspired by thousands of LED lights that illuminate the open-air retail property, the mall logo design depicts a futuristic city skyline under one open roof. Metallic silver and brightly colored dot patterns and illustrations were used to bring the brand identity, as well as all the other marketing materials, to life.
