Feel Good Buzz

11.05.09  |   by Mark Gerardot

We love it when what we do helps a new business get off the ground or helps an existing business grow. This is one of those projects that make us feel good about what we do. Grow businesses.

“An online presence is not something to be handled lightly, yet the time to take our website to the next level was greatly overdue.  Frustrated from experiences with previous marketing firms and web designers, we tentatively began to look again — and with a sense of urgency.  Fortunately Gerardot & Co. was highly recommended by a friend.

Gerardot & Co. listened to what we wanted with the website and made it infinitely better, proactively handled a lot of the third party auction site challenges and greatly exceeded our expectations.  In fact, we were blown away with their professionalism and innovative approach. This was one of the best investments for my small business to date.”

Owner | The Spa Buzz

The Spa Buzz, a networking group for spa professionals, was a success story before they called us to help. But, as with a lot of growing businesses, they found they had little time to dedicate to marketing. Even updating the company Website proved to be a difficult chore.

We meet a lot of entrepreneurs and business owners who find themselves so wrapped up “in the business” that they don’t have the time to work “on the business.” Before long, they’re at a crossroads — on the cusp of taking their business they built from the ground up to that proverbial next level. It can be an exciting, frustrating and sometimes scary prospect. Without the proper brand positioning and marketing tools, a business can get stuck right where they are and not grow. Or worse, lose the momentum and the drive that got them to this point. That’s where we come in.

We help empower businesses to grow through brand consulting and brand identity design; and by creating the marketing tools they need to reach their business goals.

Denver-based The Spa Buzz hosts networking events for spa professionals across the country, like this one in Austin, Texas. These events also allow spa and wellness product manufacturers to promote their products.

Designing a website solution that solves business problems.
The Spa Buzz contacted Gerardot & Co. to design a Website that was on par with the high end resorts, spas and sponsors with whom they do business. They also wanted a website design that was easy to manage and update — that helped them keep in touch with customers, prospects and sponsors.

We planned and simplified an existing Website architecture to allow easy access for different types of customers: spa professionals, prospective sponsors and consumers. The home page features highlights from recent blogs, upcoming events, event photo gallery and a live Twitter feed. The Website was designed to incorporate third-party eCommerce software used for consumer products and services.

This first phase of this Website empowers The Spa Buzz to regularly update content and engage directly with customers and event sponsors with social marketing tools. More importantly, the site empowers The Spa Buzz to grow their business for months and years to come. Read more details about this Website Design »

By: Mark Gerardot

You might be surprised to hear this, especially from a designer. Your new logo design won’t bring you more customers. A clever new tagline won’t bring more visitors to your city. Not even a new logo and tagline together (no matter how creative) will convince a customer or business decision maker to spend money with [...]

Smart paper choices can help save the environment and save your budget. Ten years ago, I wouldn’t have given it a second thought, but once you understand the impact that even a single product catalog like this one has on the environment (above and beyond the number of trees you’re killing) the math is difficult to ignore.
